THE VOYCES
Brian Wurschum ~ lead vocals, guitar
Jude Kastle ~ vocals
Frank Carreno ~ bass
Eric Puente ~ drums
After having moved from California to New York, singer/songwriter Brian Wurschum formed a band called The Voyces. Soon the group released “The Angels of Fun” (2003), a mostly folk-oriented effort co-produced by Diego Garrido (The Simpsons, The Squid and the Whale). That same year, The Voyces would receive international exposure when one of their songs, “Relate To Me,” was included in Jack Johnson’s “Thicker Than Water” film and soundtrack.
Singer Laurel Hoffman left the group in 2004. Wurschum performed as a solo artist for awhile, but in 2006, Wurschum joined forces with singer Jude Kastle, and the pair completely re-formed The Voyces (along with drummer Eric Puente and longtime bassist Frank Carreno). That same year, two of the band's songs found their way into the feature film, "National Lampoon’s Adam & Eve" and the television show, "Monarch Cove."
Since "Kissing Like It's Love" first became available for pre-orders, it remained a bestseller at Barnes & Noble dot com (March 18th: #7 in overall sales; April 2nd: #3 on alternative bestseller list), and was in its second pressing well before its official release.
Listen for The Voyces in the upcoming film, "Say Hello To Stan Talmadge" (2008).

A tribute to one of popular music's unsung heroes. Rick Nelson proved to be an influence on the country rock movement of the late 60's and early 70's. The project initially had interest from bands as diverse as Los Angeles' The Tyde to acoustic music from the One AM Radio. Unfortunately those contributions never materialized but managed to compile a 20 track tribute to Rick Nelson from band members to todays shining stars. $1.60 of the sale of this cd is contributed to Cancer Care.
